Please Help!!! Russian Tortoise?

We have a female Russian Tortoise and she was in our back yard, it is all gr, no trees and no way for her to escape. She was unattended for a short 10 minutes and we are not able to find her. Is it possible, in a large community of townhouses, kids playing etc...for a bird of some sort to get her? She was about the size of a salad plate, probably about 7 years old. I am so upset. She always goes in the yard and loves it. I am not sure if the bird thing is possible, I see no burrow spots around the fence, I am panicing. We love her so much! My two year old hides her sometimes, but I have torn the house apart and can not find her inside. I just do not see a bird big enough to pick her up coming in our back yard, but maybe it is possible. Please let me know what you think before it is too late. Thank you so much.
