How should i go about being a surrogate mother, i meet all the requirements, but do i need a lawyer?

how do you find someone to surrogate for? is it better to do something like this locally? i personally want to get to know these potential parents, so that i could determine for myself... if i think they should even be parents... because i dont feel like everybody should... i see people everyday, and wonder... why did they even have children. is this an option?
